Giveaway terms

These terms apply to every Swindon Scoop giveaway. The details of each giveaway are in the box below.

Who can enter

• The giveaway is open to UK residents aged 18 or over.
• Anyone involved in running the giveaway, and anyone at the business providing the prize, can't enter.
• One entry per person, unless the giveaway details say otherwise.
• No purchase is necessary. Signing up to Swindon Scoop is free.

How the winner is chosen

• The winner is picked at random from all valid entries after the closing time.
• We'll contact the winner by email or direct message within 7 days of the closing date. If they don't reply within 14 days, we may pick another winner.
• We'll announce the winner's first name and area of Swindon in the newsletter, with their permission.

The prize

• The prize is as described above. There's no cash alternative, and it can't be transferred or exchanged.
• The prize is provided by the business named above, and any booking, availability or expiry conditions they set will apply. We'll tell the winner about these.
• If the prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside our control, we'll offer a replacement of similar value.

The small print

• We may cancel or change a giveaway if something outside our control stops it running fairly, and we'll explain why.
• Giveaways on Facebook or Instagram aren't sponsored, endorsed or run by Meta.
• We'll only use entrants' details to run the giveaway, as explained in our privacy notice.
